How did you become a pastor?
Dennis: I have a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and then I did 2 years of training through the L.A.M.P. Bible program based in the General Baptist Denomination.  After these 2 years of training I went through local training in church planting and organizing.  I then went in front of my Church in Poplar Bluff, MO and was selected to be presented to our association for ordination.  I was then ordained in March of 2008.


Is The Awakening Church affiliated with a denomination?
We are affiliated with the General Baptist Denomination but allows us to run as a 100% independent Church.
