November 23 is our Pre-Thanksgiving day event. During that service we will start a series on "Breaking Free." It will be a three week series in which we learn to deal witht he "dark" side of our lives. A challenging series but something we all face.
Don't fit in at Church??? Yeah, neither do we. Come experience God at The Awakening Church with experiential worship including drama, live music, art and prayer stations and more. The Awakening Church is a church at The Players Theatre in Greenwich Village. We are a Church that has a desire to bring Truth and Faith through cultural relevance.
The Awakening is a church for those tired of playing church. It is a for those that want to be the church. It is a place where people can come as they are and also who they are. We feel this is important because so many think they need to act or be a certain way before attending many churches. Jesus actually was quit the opposite on that theory and says in Matthew, "Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
